Hello Family!
So, our last devotional was awesome. I got to sit right behind Elder Holland and give the opening prayer. It was way awesome to get to hear from him again. And it is always good to talk to the Chandlers on Tuesday nights at dinner before devotional. They say that Max Bingham might have his call by now (last week he didn't have it). So I'm excited to hear if he got his call this week (and if it's to Japan!).
It's amazing to hear all of the money that people have donated. I think that would be cool to do something to help out the Africans somehow. I'd like to hear a final total from you; it sounds like it is pretty high. Everyone is so generous.
Thanks for the addresses this week. I got a thank you off to the Canyons already and I will probably write one to BYU today.
Mom, thanks for sending the little remembrances of Bryce. It's awesome to hear how everyone remembers him. Maybe you could use some of what people say about him in the book about him. (Speaking of the book, take all the time you need. I'm excited to get it eventually, but I think it's best that you space it out and go at a pace that suits you) And it's way cool that Bryce's first baptism was on the 7th. James had some really great things to say about Bryce. I wish I could talk with everyone about Bryce and hear everything that they have to say, but it's a good thing that I'm on a mission.
On Friday in the Referral Center I briefly talked to one of the teachers. He was in Bryce's mission and Bryce told me to look out for him. So I got to say hi, and found out that he got to go to the funeral. You probably saw him, but I can't remember his name. We only got to talk for a minute because we were both chatting with investigators at that time. But it was cool to talk to someone who knew Bryce.
So, this week was a mostly normal week. We have started to teach a new thing during each class section. So we taught Word of Wisdom, Keeping the Sabbath Day holy, and a few other principles in Japanese this week. It's amazing how much we can say now. We are far from fluent, but we can pretty much work our way around and say the basic jist of what we want to say.
We are all getting pretty excited to go to Japan. We have less than two weeks left! Our flight plans should come this week (hopefully tomorrow). It's weird to think that I will only have one more p-day in the MTC after today.
Thanks for all of your love and letters. I miss you all, but I'm way excited to get to Japan. Have a great week.
