It is great to hear that Jordan got his call to Brazil and that Logan is entering the MTC.
Thank you so much for the letters and such. I love hearing from everyone. Email is most definitely cheaper, but as shown by last week, I don't have a whole lot of time on the computer. So if it is something that I don't need to respond to, please make a note in the subject line so I can just print it off and read it later. Thanks so much.
The past two weeks have been very busy (probably like the rest of my mission will be) and we have had to hurry to many places. The snow festival was awesome. There were so many crazy awesome sculptures and such. It took a lot of snow. After that, we had mission conference with Elder Choi of the 70. It was way good and I really learned a lot. Also, I got presents from half of the mission. Typically new missionaries get "showered" with presents from all the other missionaries at their first zone conference, but I was luck enough to get half of the mission at mission conference. So I got a lot of chocolate, sticky notes, and a couple $1 ties. It was quite exciting.
On Sunday (the 15th) I got to perform my first baptism ever! I'll try to send you a picture next week. The guy I baptized is 21 and really quiet. I met him just one week before baptizing him. But hopefully I can become friends with him over the next few weeks.
That night, we got to go to the house of a member here who is actually Korean, but was adopted by a family in Texas at birth. She and her husband (plus 2 kids) are fluent in English and Japanese. There was also another family that came, the Dyers. They have 5 kids from 14 down to newborn that all speak English, plus a little Japanese. So I got to spend a night with tons of English speakers, it was awesome! We ate tacos and pizza, some things I won't get to eat much the next couple of years.
Last p-day we went bowling and I did pretty good. We bowled 5 games and my average was over 130 per game. I bowled a 168 in one of the games. And I had two turkeys throughout the 5 games. It was cool.
