Zone Conference with Elder Aoyagi ...Questions

Hi Family,
Unfortunately, it looks like all of my emails bypassed this email address and went straight to my new address. And since I can't access that page, I don't get to read emails this week...or next week...or until I leave Iwamizawa, it seems. So I can't respond to any questions or comments this week. I am sure that you all wrote me great emails, and I am grateful for your love.
This past week was rough as far as missionary work goes, but we had some good experiences. Last Thursday we had Zone Conference with Elder and Sister Aoyagi. It was way good and I learned a lot. I even got to have an interview with Elder Aoyagi, but it wasn't what I was expecting.
It started out with chit-chat (where I am from, where I am currently serving, etc.), and then he asked if there was anything missionary related that I am struggling with and wanted his advice on. Then he asked me if I had any questions for him. And then...it was over. I felt like I didn't even have an interview. I was done in less than 3 minutes! I am sad that I didn't have any questions prepared, and I feel that I missed out on a great opportunity. But I was under the impression that Elder Aoyagi would be asking us questions. Plus, we weren't asked to prepare questions. So I sort of felt jipped. Oh well.
On Monday we had a really good lesson with an investigator named Okeda san. I found her with Elder Thurber way back in November, and she is very, very slowly progressing. For the lesson, we reviewed what a prophet is, and then taught her about a living prophet. For the first time ever, she really made a connection with the gospel! She felt that it is relevant to her! She explained that she has a special connection with her husband, and she can always tell when he comes home from work because the mood/atmosphere in the room changes. Then she said, "By the way that you describe the current prophet, he sounds like someone that has that special connection with everyone. He sounds like someone I would want to meet." It was way cool!
Yesterday Elder Willis was sick, so he slept and I had a lot of study time. I also did some cleaning and organizing, and it ended up being a pretty effective day for me. It was the first time in my mission that I have missed a day of missionary work due to my companion being sick. But don't worry, he seems all better now.
That is about it for the week. I love you. Hopefully I can get this email mess sorted out.
