May 25, 2010 Missing pieces to no email last week

Not to scare anyone but check out his ear.  This was an interesting picture sent home from Elder C. ( It think it is Elder Tashiro) Maybe he wanted a record of the cold in Sapporo.  Luckily, the weather is changing now and the cherry blossoms are out.
Hi Family,
Sorry about last week's email, or lack of email. Both of our email spots were closed for some unknown reason. I was able to send that short sucker from a Sony Ericsson (cell phone) at an electronics shop, but we had no time and it was hard to type, and thus the short email.
I bet this week is pretty crazy, eh? I can't believe that the wedding is in a few days! Since we didn't get to email, it feels like a week just evaporated out of thin air. And it seems really weird that it is graduation time in Utah. America seems like such a distant world nowadays.
I have been busy here in Obihiro. I get along great with my new companion, Elder Lowry. His family has lived in Tokyo for the past 6 or so years, but lived in Virginia and Maryland before that. He is really smart and wants to become a lawyer, like his dad. It has been weird to hear proper English the past few weeks with him, and it has made me realize how bad my English has become. But that's the way it is.
Last week on pday I looked around at a few shops to see if I could get a suit, but they were all too small. But then I found one! It would cost me about $110 after alterations, and I might buy it next week. We'll see, I'm still debating.
We have recently found a lot of really good people. The best of the bunch would be the Kanagawa family. We had set an appointment with the father, and when we went for the lesson his wife invited us in, and we taught the two of them plus their high-school daughter. They are amazed by the missionaries, and really like meeting with us. I am hoping that we will be able to get them to church this week. If they come to church, they will make friends, have a good time, and I am certain that they will get baptized. But they need to come to church, something that most Japanese people are either scared of or think as a nuisance.
Life as a Zone Leader has been pretty busy. I am on the phone at nights and rarely have time to relax. It has helped me stretch and grow. This next Monday is Zone Conference, and I am pretty nervous for my first ZL Workshop.Anyways, have a fun week. Everyone enjoy the wedding! I love you all. Thanks for all that you do.
