Short Email but Great Stories from Elder C.

This past week we had a lot of lessons on the street, but we haven't been able to meet the second time with anyone. We are finding really good people, but they don't show up for the next appointment. We have had a lot of really good experiences at our lessons. I wish I had the time to tell you about them. There was one business man that we stopped and talked with. At the end of our conversation he said, "I just happened to get work off early today, and I met you." I told him that he didn't "just happen" to meet us, but that God led us to each other. He said, "I think so, too." It was a really good experience and I felt the Spirit testify directly to him through me.
Well, that is about all of my time. I love you all so much, even if my emails are short. Have a great week.
Here is a great story that Kim sent to Dallin that happened in our Stake:
Brother Garcia (CW1) is a member of our high council.  He spoke in a ward I was visiting this morning.  As he began his talk he apologized for his heavy Mexican accent and his awkward English (he really speaks quite well and I love having him on the high council).  He told about being called in February to the high council.  As President Blair extended the call and explained the duties Brother Garcia thought to himself he could do everything and would gladly accept every assignment except for having to speak each month to the wards in the stake.  He remembered a story about a sister in a ward who played the organ (for everything).  The bishop felt impressed to have her speak in church and extended the invitation.  Without much hesitation she responded, "Bishop, when you play the organ in church then I'll speak in sacrament meeting."  While thinking about this story Brother Garcia thought in his mind, "President Blair, when you start speaking in Spanish then I will accept the call and speak each month in English when visiting the wards."  President Blair then continued the interview in Spanish.  He served his mission in Honduras and was comfortable using Brother Garcia's native tongue.  Brother Garcia immediately accepted the call.  He has such a powerful testimony.  This is his second opportunity to serve on a high council.  After returning to his home in Mexico following his mission he was called to serve on the stake high council (age 23).  He and his family came to the States quite a few years ago.  They have all become naturalized citizens.  He is successful in business as an international marketing director.  End of story.
