Cross Country Skiing in Japan!!! Wish We Were There

Last week we went cross-country skiing for pday, and it was pretty fun. It was weird to be back on skis. Too bad I am way bigger than the average Japanese - the skis were about a foot too short, and the largest boots were 27.5, which were really tight on me! So my feet didn't enjoy skiing. But we will probably do it again next week as our daily excercise on pday.
All of last week it was really cold. It was usually around -8, and one day it was down around -12. And that was during the middle of the day. I have no clue how cold it gets at night.
On Sunday, we had a miracle! Saturday night, while planning and setting goals for Sunday I said "Should we pray for a miracle and somehow get an investigator to church and then a member lesson afterwards?" I didn't seriously think that it was possible, especially since we haven't gotten a member lesson or an investigator to church since November.
But on Sunday, a member visiting from another branch brought a friend with him. And the friend lives in Iwamizawa! And we were able to do a member lesson after church! So God blessed us and we were able to see some success.
We were in a slump last week, but it seems like we got out of it. We are back to making appointments and teaching lessons.
Right now we are in the mission home. Yesterday we had interviews with President Daniels and a Zone Training Meeting, then exchanges in Sapporo. I got to go with one of the APs, Elder Senba, and we had a way fun time. We even got fed by a member! Everybody loves the APs, even the members.
Today we get to go to the Snow Festival. It is going to be fun! I love you all. Have a great week.
